Some Things Are Bigger Than Sports: Saquon Barkley Saw The Team’s Ball Boy And Made Sure He Enjoyed The Parade With The Team
Some Things Are Bigger Than Sports. What a perfect perfect scene. Everyone who has had any interaction with Saquon Barkley says he’s literally the best. When he was on the Giants we couldn’t say a bad word about him. Did we wish he was on the field every game, sure but that’s the breaks of football. More so, do we wish we had a better offensive line for him? Hell Yes. But even on the way out the door, everyone aside from insane brain Meek Phil wished him well. A class act through and through.
Stuff like this is awesome. Did this ball boy contribute to the team’s success as much as Saquon. No, but did he often work late hours in a usually thankless position. Yes. Was he part of the team? Yes. Everyone has their role and no matter how big or how small and guys with class know that just like Saquon displays here and made sure this kid has his moment.
The thing I can’t understand is why the Eagles didn’t have the ball boys as part of the parade in the first place. They may not have to have the first float of the brigade but give them a convertible or hell a minivan with the windows down. Something. Awesome moment for this kid via Saquon. Terrific stuff.
