'This Is Embarrassing' - Mark Pope Gave A Perfect Answer Making Fun Of All The Idiots Who Keep Falling For The SEC Is 82-82 In Conference Play
Karl Ravech took over the Internet yesterday. You may wonder why, good question. Simply couldn't believe the SEC was 82-82 in conference play. Go ahead and do the math there and figure it out. He then tried to double down on it:
That lasted a couple hours:
He's not the first person to fall for it. Archie Miller did too. Plenty of people on the Internet have done the same. It's become a running joke within the college basketball world. But, now, we have a genius (Rhodes Scholar, look it up) setting the record straight:
Leave it to our coach to get it all correct. It's embarrassing the SEC is .500. Can't believe that someone isn't going on a run to rack up wins and save this conference. The man can't believe people keep falling for this. This is how I want my coach to sound. He's going to zoom action you to death, he's going to beat top-25 teams and he's going to be a smartass when it comes to this sort of thing. Another win for Mark Pope if you ask me without any sort of bias.
More importantly, this is what I needed to hear today. Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler are pretty seriously hurt. No idea when we'll have a point guard again and dealing with the SEC monster. No big deal when our coach is loose. If Mark Pope is going to crack jokes then we'll be just fine. That's how he has as many top-25 wins as the entire ACC
Now figure it out and get this league above .500 finally in conference play.
