Long Time Bottle Service Girl Is Now Running A Boot Camp To Teach Others How To Maximize Their Tips And I Respect It

NY Post- Think it’s tough getting into the Ivy League? Try getting a top-paying job as a bottle-service girl.

“Thousands of girls apply, but there’s only 12 to maybe 25 girls max on a [nightclub’s] bottle service team,” said Michelle Kent of major clubs in cities like Miami and New York.

Pushing Champagne and top-shelf liquor to high rollers, these women can earn hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. But it’s a delicate art that requires savvy, class, sales skills and getting tipsy clients to keep their hands to themselves. All while wearing sky-high heels.

Kent — a nightlife veteran with decades of experience in the VIP sections of South Florida nightclubs such as Nikki Beach, Opium and Dream — teaches the tricks of the trade over two intensive days at Miami’s Bottle Service Boot Camp. She told The Post there was a real need for it.

After starting off in a staid conference room, the second day of a recent $300 boot camp moved to Miami’s trendy La Otra nightclub — and the students dressed the part, with skimpy leotards, thongs and fishnets.

“Don’t ever, ever, ever cover the label of the Champagne bottle with your hand,” Kent told her students. “The table is paying a lot of money for that bottle, and they want the entire club to see what they’re ordering.”

One upsell trick she swears by is telling clients they can only drink Champagne, preferably Dom Perignon or Perrier-Jouet Rosé, on the floor.

She knows her stuff: From 2010 to 2020, Kent said, she made between $200,000 to $400,000 per year doing bottle service.

“It is one of the few industries where women can earn six figures without a college degree,” she told The Post. “A great night in Miami or Vegas might be $5,000 of tips, depending on where you work and your experience level. But I’ve also had $30,000, $40,000, even $50,000 nights — usually during events like the Super Bowl.”

Ahhhhhh Bottle Service. Now Nate the editor, gets mad when I spend a big portion of the blog explaining the topic at hand but I do want to remind him that there are people in the world who don't know what bottle service is, in fact there's people at this company who don't know what bottle service is.

Anyway, bottle service is basically a big scam where you pay WAY TOO MUCH for a bottle of liquor and overcrowd a space in a club and make you feel like a big shot. Places in clubs have had these since what feels like the dawn of time. It's the same recipe every time. A bottle, some mixers in clear containers, and of course … the waitress serving it.

Oh the waitress serving it….

It's like a who's who of attractive girls that you rarely have a shot with yet after a few drinks talk yourself into her liking you. And they all know what they are doing. They smile, they laugh at your jokes, they may even jump in the group picture. Everything to make you enjoy their company, knowing full well the goal is the longer you stay there, the more money you spend and the more money they make in tips. You have to respect it. It's kind of an everyone wins thing. Your group has a great time, and they walk away with bank. It's not until the next morning you go to swipe your card for a bagel, a Bodyarmor, and an asprin and it gets declined because you spent your entire balance on bottles because a smoke smiled at you all night. We all been there.

Now the story comes out this girl is doing a "boot camp" to help others get more tips and be the best they can be. I think this is genius. And anyone in the industry who really is in it for the money should go to it. $300 is a drop in the bucket if you think you can earn thousands more in tips. The juice is worth the squeeze as they say. Also massive respect to people who excel in weird niches of the world. Like Billy Mitchell with Donkey Kong, or Meek Phil at being a troll, if you can excel at a weird topic don't shy away from it. This girl is one of the goats in bottle service, which is such a ridiculous statement you have to respect it. Get the money while you can girl. Also find it very funny that girls may be flying in to attend this camp and come back to their local clubs a changed woman because of her tricks of the trade. Like the HS kid who got invited to a select basketball camp where theres so many kids being evaluated they give u a 3 digit number on the back and wore it to every local practice that year as a show off move. Absolutely love this move. Wish they did a documentary on this camp. I'm all in.
