I Find It Remarkable Clippers Security Didn't Know Who Travis Scott ... In A Related Story, Travis Scott Doesn't Give A Shit About Listening To Security
These videos always deliver. Let's break it down and weigh the options of who's right and who's wrong here. First let's examine the layout of the situation. Travis Scott is sitting courtside for the Lakers Clippers game. A relatively well known musician but hey people can be older and not know the face by heart. If you need anymore proof of people not knowing faces, just watch a few matches of me trying to do Celebrity Mashup. So I get how security may not know him by face. That could be forgivable.
Now you are probably reading this and going "But Rico the headline of this blog (unless Nate changed it) says you find it remarkable that security didn't know who he was, how can that be?" Well let me explain.
This is a video from earlier in the month ....
AT THE SAME ARENA !!
The guy is smoking a blunt on the mic !!!!
For that reason I find it remarkable that security wasn't briefed or the guys working courtside (which is the most VIP area there is) didn't have it click in his head, "oh he looks familiar." I also have a hard time with the security guy not realizing anyone on the court level like that is more than likely a well do to season ticket holder, or a celeb and probably deserves the best of the best when it comes to ushering them on and off the court.
Now ... to the security guard's defense. All he's trying to do here is his job. He is probably paid hourly and told keep people in a line and off the court. All he's trying to do is what he's told. Travis Scott clearly walks around him and then shows absolutely zero regard for listening by shoo-ing him off and keeps walking. Kind of a dick "I'm a celebrity I don't have to listen" move. The security gaurd could have said to stop before trying to grab him, but Travis Scott also could have waited the extra 12 seconds to walk in the line. Bottom line here ... no one's right, and everyone's a little wrong ... which is usually the case with celebrity scuffles.
