Bad Blood, A Kadary Richmond Game-Winner And All At MSG - St. John's/Providence Was Perfect Old School Big East Basketball
This right here is old school Big East. Low scoring, a fight, the retro jerseys that St. John's should always wear (at least close enough, these are the real ones):

Not to mention you had some animosity because the last time they played Kim English said this:
Then today you had St. John's nearly blowing a 19-point lead with 10 minutes to go and Jabri Abdur-Rahim putting on a damn show for Providence, you get old school Big East basketball. Obviously the star though is Kadary Richmond. This is why St. John's went and paid him in the portal. This is why people thought he'd be Big East POY and a potential All-American. 24/8/8 stat line with the game-winner and basically kept St. John's in it during the first half when they struggled against the zone.
This is what I want on the first Saturday without football. None of this Tennessee/Florida shit show, give me something like this. Pitino trying to get St. John's back in the Tournament, Providence trying to catch a hot streak here. Really this just sets everything up for the Big East Tournament, the single best conference tournament in America. Not to mention MSG actually sounded legit today. It's been a long time coming for St. John's fans and not to have that place completely overtaken by UConn, Providence, Nova, etc.
Give us pt. 3 of this at MSG next month in the Big East Tournament. This game has delivered twice, almost exactly, this year.
