Timberwolves Head Coach Chris Finch Got Ejected From A Game For Reportedly Calling The Refs "Bozos"

Despite what has been mostly an underachieving season so far for the Wolves, the reality of the situation is that they currently sit just 1 game back of a top 6 seed, and 2 games back of a top 4 seed. Their point differential (+2.6) is currently better than the 5 seeded Lakers (-1.3), and after a very much needed win last night in PHX they've now won 4 straight and are 6-4 in their last 10. If you're a Wolves fan, there are signs that things are starting to turn around.

Going into PHX (who has also been playing well, 7-3) and winning convincingly down the stretch was impressive, and even more so when you realize they did it all after their head coach Chris Finch got tossed after losing his shit on the officials

That might be one of the strangest ejections we've seen this season. Things looked pretty tame at the start, guys were talking, Beal was waiting for the ball and then all hell broke loose. What could cause such a reaction?

You'll never believe this, but it was once again an official getting into their feelings and then immediately going on a power trip. What was the root of the issue? Chris Finch called him a bozo. I'm not kidding

Hey Adam Silver, maybe spend less time debating whether or not NBA quarters should be 12 or 10 minutes and more time FIXING YOUR GODDAMN OFFICIATING PROBLEM.

Bozo? We're tossing coaches because they are calling refs bozos? Telling the truth is now against the rules? When it comes to refs, I'm not sure which league has bigger bozos, the NBA or the NFL. The point is, NBA refs cannot keep getting emotional and doing things that directly impact a game.

It just goes to show you that calling someone a "bozo" still plays. There's really no comeback for it and when used correctly it's arguably the perfect insult.

It also reinforces the idea that the NBA's officiating problem is without a doubt their biggest issue. It's not 3pt shooting, it's not how long games take, it's the fact that their officials are literally ruining the product on a nightly basis. Whether it's giving horrendous techs that should never have been called that ruin momentum and the feel of a game

or stuff like we saw last night where a ref gets caught in their feelings and overcompensated by going on a power trip, I simply do not understand how the league office can see this kind of behavior unfold every single night in the majority of their games and then do absolutely nothing about it. No accountability, no nothing.

Meanwhile you also have instances where players like Draymond legitimately berate officials after every single call and nothing happens, whereas some refs give you a tech for clapping. It's all a gigantic mess that the NBA refuses to fix and it is ruining their product as a result.

If we're now at the point where a coach can't call a ref a bozo while he's acting like a bozo, then what we we even doing?

So Adam, please, clean this shit up. You're embarrassing all of us who are doing our best to stick up for this league, but not even I could spinzone something like this. It's a joke.
