Motivation 101: ND Coach Micah Shrewsberry Got A Text Mid-Game From A Random Number Telling Him To Draw Up Plays And That He Basically Stinks

The best part? Notre Dame won this game. That's why this move by this unnamed person is a great one. You can't let Notre Dame and Micah Shrewsberry get complacent. You have to remind them they stink, are unorganized and keep them on their toes because a win over Georgia Tech doesn't move the needle. Then again, nothing in the ACC moves the needle. It's basically turned into the WCC with Duke being Gonzaga this year.

I never really understood this, but it also makes all the sense in the world in college sports. How do people just end up with random head coaches numbers and think, yep, this is my shot to get on staff. I'm not even talking about Rico texting coaches all the time and putting Rothstein to shame with the 'good luck today' texts. The legit crazies who are sitting around watching Notre Dame/Georgia Tech and thinking this is my time to let Shrewsberry know his team is unorganized as fuck. If anything this guy needs to text Shrewsberry again and come up with some plays, design something and blow him away. You have his attention, this is your shot.

Great response by Shrewsberry though. He could have thrown a fit or made a bigger deal of it than what it is. Love that he's just like you think you're having a good day and it's a great reminder that someone thinks you stink.
