The Last Time We Interviewed Teddy Swims He Had Just Landed A Record Deal. This Time, He's Nominated For A Grammy For "Best New Artist"

Teddy Swims is the fucking man.

You have to be living in a cave to not know his name, or have not heard his music.

"The Door"

and "Lose Control" are smash hits.

They're all over the radio, crushed spotify, and as this blog title says, helped earned him a Grammy nomination this year for "New Artist of the Year". (An award he deserves and should win.)

Back in 2021, when I heard Teddy in person at a Bud Lite House event, I was blown away. He wasn't well known, and had a some traction on youtube as a cover artist, but was nowhere near blowing up.

We were lucky enough to land Teddy for an interview before he blew up and became too big a deal for us. And he couldn't have been a nicer, sweeter person. Which made us even bigger fans.

Fast forward 3 years later, and it's astouding how far he has come in such a short amount of time.

He has his first kid on the way in June, is super excited to be a dad, he will be at The Grammy's this Sunday, (hopefully bringing home some hardware), and he just dropped his second LP- I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2).

He also played the inaugural "Dave Portnoy One-Bite Pizza Fest" in Coney Island 2 years ago. Where it freaking monsooned for 6 hours and his band had to play under tarps. But Teddy wasn't phased. Ever the showman, he stood in and crushed the performance.
