Jimmy Butler Still Attempting To Troll While Being Suspended Is Getting Sad At This Point

After the Heat came out and suspended Jimmy Butler for the 3rd time, I think everyone from the players to the fans to the front office to Jimmy Butler himself is over this entire situation and is just waiting for the official Shams bomb to tell us all where Pat Riley is sending him. We're already getting the leaks that their asking price is starting to drop, telling us that at this point they'll do anything to be done with the Jimmy Butler Experience, and really, who could blame them?

One would think that given that all of this drama and the numerous suspensions are all a result of Jimmy Butler's own actions, that this time he would just keep quiet, wait for his agent and the team to work out a deal and we could all finally move on.

Is that what Butler decided to do? Of course not.

You have to remember, above all else, Jimmy Butler loves to troll. If you had to describe who Jimmy was as a player you'd say someone that elevates his game a few levels once the playoffs arrive and he starts caring, and that he's a master troll. He really can't help himself.

At this point, even Heat fans have to admit this is cringy right? Again, Jimmy Butler is not getting paid by the Heat right now because he walked out of a shootaround after learning that Spo was starting Haywood Highsmith after Jimmy returned form his second suspension. He "withheld services" which by the rules of the CBA allows the Heat to withhold his paycheck. I'll remind you, this all stemmed from having to be suspended again because he missed a team flight, which ya know, Jimmy Butler controls. Everyone else seemed to be able to make that flight, and wouldn't you know it nobody else was suspended.

Aside from all that, let's also remember that Butler has made $312M in basketball contract money alone in his career and is making $48M this season. Trying to troll by playing the "I'm broke because I'm unemployed" doesn't really hit. In fact, it's all pretty embarrassing which in some ways fits this entire saga. It's embarrassing. I think it tells you everything you need to know that while pulling all this shit while he's with the team, even off the court Butler can't just take some accountability and lay low until a trade goes through. What's the benefit of trying to troll like this? It's not all that funny, it makes him look worse, and if anything it shows us that he truly does not give a fuck about anything he's currently doing. Add in the fact that his on the court product is declining as he ages, is it a surprise there aren't a ton of teams that seem to be fighting each other for his services?

At the end of the day, this all comes back to the idea that none of this would be happening if Jimmy Butler simply played basketball games, and when he isn't playing basketball games he doesn't talk shit and try and troll. Getting upset the Heat wouldn't pay him, and then getting even more upset that Pat Riley told him to stop talking shit about the Celtics when he's not even on the floor and then for him to basically never play once the new season actually started is really all this is. If Butler was actually on the floor and tried when he played during the regular season, we most likely aren't even in this position in the first place.

But instead, it seems like Butler is more interested in getting another contract and burning everything to the ground the second any team decides they don't want to do that. That was the case in CHI, MIN, PHI, and now MIA.
