It Is A Miracle..... The Saints Might Have Found Someone (Kellen Moore) to Coach This Team!

Lord it is a miracle! The Saints might have FINALLY have found someone to coach this team!

The Saints ownership flew up to Philly on Monday to interview Kellen Moore for the 2nd time for the Saints job. And by all accounts, it went quite well. 

They can't announce news of this hire until after Moore is done with the Eagles Super Bowl against the Chiefs next Sunday. With the game being in New Orleans, maybe Kellen will just stay down there for good after.

Mike McCarthy went ahead and beat the news that he will not be a head coach next year which is obviously a sign that Moore is the guy.

Behind the scenes, McCarthy wanted the job bad but clearly the Saints wanted to go in another direction with a younger candidate.

Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury also pulled his name out of the search to stay in DC. Cannot say that I blame him for wanting to coach Jayden Daniels…..

Can Kellen Moore succeed in New Orleans? Probably not.

By all accounts, Moore is a good offensive mind but damn this is a brutal situation. The only redeeming factors of the job are that there are only 32 in the world and the NFC South is super weak.

But he is ready to be a head coach after being an OC for many years. The Saints could do much worse with this hire but I am still tempering my expectations with an aging roster in salary cap hell.
