The People's Coach - Mark Pope Beats A Top-10 Team On The Road (Like Usual), Celebrates By Hopping On A Kentucky Fan's FaceTime With Their Grandma

Look, I don't want to blog every single time that Mark Pope beats a top-10 team on the road, it's business. It's what he's supposed to do and what he's doing. The man has a big game, the man wins. It's really been that simple: 

Oh and he did it at Tennessee without Lamont Butler, Andrew Carr and Kerr Kriisa. That's how you end up with a 7-footer playing point guard down the stretch. 

But you see it's more than Mark Pope turning this program back into where it should be year 1. We should be setting records, winning on the road, loading up on big wins. It's the fact he is Kentucky basketball. Once again he got a major win and what does he do? Hop on FaceTime with some random Grandma: 

No doubt in my mind that Grandma, maybe from Middlesboro or something down by the Tennessee border, had a few pointers for Mark. Probably told him to stop giving us heart attacks with Collin Chandler playing with 4 minutes to go. Likely drew up a couple free throw routines for the boys to practice. Can't be giving away points at the line. But the fact is this right here is Kentucky basketball. People, outside of myself if you don't believe me, constantly say Kentucky is a different job than anywhere else in college basketball. Mark Pope understands that and has become king in year 1. I mean, he's got rivals dreaming of playing for Kentucky
