This Is January - We Had A Night Of Anarchy In College Hoops With Logo Buzzer Beaters, Court Storms And Northwestern Making Fun Of Fake Sources
Every so often one of these weird nights in college basketball happen. Tuesday nights? Sure, we know those are loaded nights because of the SEC, Big 12 and big game after big game. Wednesday? Yeah, absolutely can see that. Saturday is a no-brainer. But the Thursday night slate is typically slow. A couple Big 10 games, Gonzaga, good night for you to throw a movie or show on with your significant other and put a game on TV2 instead. Earn some points for doing a good deed when you're just playing the game.
That Dawson Garcia three was the shot that everyone noticed. How could you not? Danny Wolf (dude is must watch TV. Transferred in from Yale, a point forward, flat out awesome) tied the game up before Minnesota ran beautiful offense. Just panic and launch a three from the logo. Cash. That shot could play a major role in the Big 10 regular season winner. I don't necessarily care about regular season winners because of unbalanced schedules, the Big East is kinda the only one that really matters anymore.
It wasn't just that game either. You had Northwestern with a game-winner with .2 left:
Actually, the better story with Northwestern was their team account making fun of fake sources on Twitter from earlier in the day:
It's very inside college basketball Twitter, but this is what happens. People just randomly say SOURCE: and people run with it. So Northwestern decided to make fun of it all:

Yep, tweet out Barnhizer without a boot on warming up for a game as this was all going nuts. Perfect. Probably why they won and I'm only like 50% joking there. Then we had the upsets. Memphis took its annual garbage loss:
Late night Gonzaga lost to noted Pac-12/WCC member Oregon State:
Complete anarchy on a 'quiet night' in college basketball. Look, I can only say it so many times, but this season has been fucking awesome. You gotta start watching if you're waiting until March. The offense has been better, the games have been better and it's just complete chaos. We know the handful of teams who are considered good - mostly SEC teams - but everyone is taking losses.
