American Danielle Collins Went Full Villain Mode At The Aussie Open Last Night Blowing The Booing Crowd Kisses And Taunting Them Before Thanking The Haters For Her 'Big Fat Paycheck'
American tennis player Danielle Collins prides herself in being unapologetically authentic. On the court it's always a rollercoaster and that's mainly because she wears her emotions on her sleeve. It's been that way since she first got on tour and you have to appreciate it. She's different. In a sport built on politeness, respect, and etiquette she tends to go against the grain. Collins had to fight from the moment she first started playing on the tour, needing to win to be able to afford basic expenses. Danielle grew up living in Florida in a lower-middle class family. Her dad has ran his own landscaping business cutting down trees and mowing lawns for years. She's blue collar and does not give a single fuck.
Last night at the Australian Open was the epitome of that as she took on Destanee Aiava, an Aussie native, and as a result the entire crowd in attendance. As you can imagine, Collins became contentious vs. the crowd. As the night grew late, the fans in attendance became rowdier and rowdier.
When Collins won the match in three sets she proceeded to give it all back to the fans. Pure villain shit. Blowing them kisses, taunting them, even telling them to kiss her ass.
Boy does that look fun. That hate continued to flow out more and more during her post match interview.
Some people aren't built to be the heel, but Danielle Collins was born for it.
Sometimes it can be a bit much with what ticks her off and she comes off like a big Karen. I was once court-side in San Diego for a finals match of hers and she lost her mind on the crowd when they really didn't do much. In other instances like this one it's exactly what we need. If you've got hate in your heart, let it out and have a blast.
She gets fellow American Madison Keys in the 3rd round. I have a feeling I know who the crowd is going to get behind.
