In case you missed it, Dana White went on Pardon My Take today to discuss this weekend's upcoming pay-per-view event (UFC 311: Makhachev vs Tsarukyan), and a pretty funny moment arose when Dan brought up Khabib's plane incident from earlier this week. Immediately, Dana just snapped back with, "What the fuck is Khabib doing Frontier Airlines?" - which is what we were all thinking, to be honest, but you usually don't hear people in Dana White's position say that part out loud. That's why people love Dana though. He's not thinking about a "brand safe" way to answer that question - he hears the words "Frontier" and "Airlines" put together and almost pukes just like the rest of us.
Hilarious. TOUGH for Frontier Airlines, who already struggled in the PR department, but hilarious nonetheless.
Dana continued on about the amount of money Khabib made after the Conor McGregor fight, where he "went on the Muslim World Tour" and had Putin "rain on him" - and then circled back and hit one more dig: "Khabib shouldn't even know what the fuck Frontier Airlines is!" He had a joy about him that was reminiscent of Dave's while making fun of Rico on an old Pick Em, too.
Everything about that exchange made me laugh, so I thought I'd use it as an excuse to share some other clips/plug the interview. PMT could certainly use the Robbie Fox blog bump.
Dana denied the rumors that Conor McGregor would be boxing Logan Paul or KSI in India for $250 million dollars, and said he'd be back in the UFC eventually (maybe in the Fall)....
....he shut down the idea of going back to the Sphere, despite having loved it for UFC Noche last year....
….he teased a fight for the Fall that "nobody will see coming" that now has the entire MMA world in a tizzy….
