Ain't No Hobby: From Blading Shots, Making Tiger Woods Cry And Trying To Get Charlie Woods To Play, Kevin Kisner Stole The Show At TGL
I know the first two TGL matches have been blowouts, but it's been entertaining. It's something different. It's letting guys be a little loose and see them start to talk. You have some of the right personalities out there like Shane Lowry, but the one who can steal the show? Kevin Kisner. Sure, he might not be the best golfer there. The man is an announcer these days. But there's no one better on the mic than Kevin Kisner. He's the right mix of self-deprecating and shit talking. But more importantly he gave us the shot of the event, I don't think this will ever get topped:
You ever see Tiger Woods laugh that hard? I don't think so. The man was brought to tears because of Kevin Kisner blading a shot. I don't want to hear anything. Me, you, anyone you know, we've all done that. We just don't happen to be vice captains at the Ryder Cup and Kevin Kisner, which makes it even better. If there was one person to be in this scenario it had to be Kisner. He was also smart enough to try and sub out:
Obviously TGL is all new and figuring out what works and what doesn't. Kisner works. I don't care how, just get a mic in front of the man and let him go. TGL has been a million times more entertaining than The Match with better conversation and guys talking. That's the whole key to this thing. Tiger crying was the highlight though. No worse feeling than hitting a shot so bad guys you're playing with start cracking up. I don't care your handicap, you've done it. Could be a top, a blade, a duff, whatever, you've hit a shot so bad that all you can do is laugh.
Ain't no hobby.
