Scammer Uses 'AI Brad Pitt' Photos, Convinces Women to Fall in Love in With Brad Pitt and Send Him $800K to Help With Hospital Bills
Daily Express - A lady thought she was helping Brad Pitt out but she was actually falling victim to a shocking romance scam.
The 53-year-old victim, who gave her name as Anne, forked out 830,000 euros ($851,355) to help with what she believed was cancer treatment for the Hollywood legend.
A scammer managed to do so by convincing Anne they were Brad Pitt with a series of AI-generated images.
The easy thing to do here is throw stones at the victim, and begrudge her for her abhorrent series of life choices. I know you're all probably thinking the same thing.
"Wow. What an ignorant slut. Only a woman would be foolish enough to believe hundred-millionaire actor Brad Pitt had so painfully mismanaged his finances that he'd been completely cut-off from his own bank accounts. That ex-wife Angelina Jolie would sooner see him die than lend him the $800k of pocket change needed to save his life. That Brad Pitt was such a remarkable piece of shit, that he had managed to alienate every rich & famous person in his life, and on death's door he's forced to solicit financial help from a complete stranger living in a different continent."
But hindsight is 20/20. And it would be wildly unfair to use one woman in France falling for an AI Brad Pitt scam to make wide-sweeping generalizations about the competency of the female population as a whole. This could absolutely happen to a man. An extremely gullible and excruciatingly lonely gay man who also thinks highly enough of himself that Brad Pitt could stumble upon his Instagram account and fall hopelessly in love with him.
The interior designer told French channel TF1 that the ordeal started when she received a message on social media from someone claiming to be Brad's mother after sharing photos of her fancy ski trip to Tignes on Instagram.
A day later, another account posing as the Hollywood heartthrob sent a second message, saying his mother had spoken a lot about her already. The victim, who noted she was going through a difficult period with her millionaire husband, said she struck up an unlikely friendship with the account from February 2023, receiving poems and sweet affirmations.
"There are so few men who write you this kind of thing. I liked the man I was talking to. He knew how to talk to women, it was always very well done," she said, as reported by BFMTV.
Soon Anne's online relationship with 'Bad Pitt' went to the next level when the person behind the account proposed to her and overwhelmed her with the promise of fancy gifts. The only catch was that she would need to pay customs fees to receive them, which quickly added up to 9,000 euros ($9231).
How bittersweet it must be to meet the love of your life under such dire circumstances. For the stars to align in a way that Hollywood movie star Brad Pitt falls in love with you, Anne from France, but not until he's clinging to life in an American hospital. God can be cruel sometimes. Thankfully, Anne was in a position to help Brad Pitt ($300M net worth) with his staggering hospital bills. Surely once Brad's pesky cancer was gone, and his divorce with Angelina Jolie was finalized, his finances would be unlocked, Brad would repay his debts, and Anne would never have to worry about money again. $800k is a small price to pay for a lifetime of love, happiness, and financial security.
On the other side of things, what a hopeless feeling it must have been for Anne's former millionaire husband (who AI Brad Pitt convinced her to divorce). For him to learn that he's being cucked by a dying Brad Pitt... I'm sure it all happened so fast. One day your wife is harmlessly exchanging photos of a recent ski trip over Instagram with Brad's mother. The next day she's introducing your wife to her world famous actor son who's hiding his cancer diagnosis from the world. He starts sending her beautiful love poems, and promising fancy gifts that required only $9,231 in customs fees to receive...
I'm not sure what's worse for the husband. To lose your wife to famous movie star Brad Pitt, or to lose your wife to fake AI scammer Brad Pitt. Hard to say which situation is a tougher swallow. You can't help but wonder if the husband watched this entire thing play out, knowing full well that his wife was being duped. Maybe at first he tried to tell her the whole thing was fake, but when she responded by accusing him of jealously, he just sat back and waited for shit to hit the fan. So one day he could hit her with the most satisfying "I told you so" of his life.
Sorry, sorry I'm slipping into victim blaming here. This is NOT a blog about what an idiot Anne is. She's actually sharper than you might think. She didn't just receive a few messages from someone claiming to be Brad Pitt, and immediately take the bait hook, line and sinker. She was onto this guy from the jump.
While Anne admitted she did have her suspicions that the account was fake, after messaging every day and receiving AI-generated photos and videos of the star, she became more at ease.
It was those damn, hyper-realistic hospital photos. I can only imagine how thrilled Anne must have been each time she received a new picture of Brad Pritt in the hospital at a different stage of his life with entirely different lengths of haircut. For it to all come crashing down the way it did is heart breaking. You hate to see good things happen to very stupid refreshingly optimistic people. Keep in mind, Anne is 53 years old. The internet moves fast. If you don't live your life online, and aren't hip to modern day technological advances, then you probably don't know what AI is capable of. What are you supposed to think when presented with such convincing, personalized photographs of hospital bed Brad Pitt confessing his dying love for you by holding up a notecard with your very own name on it.

The woman, who TF1 says struggles with mental health problems, left her husband because of the scam before realizing she’d been conned after seeing news reports about Pitt’s real-life girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
“I ask myself why they chose me to do such harm like this?” she said. “I’ve never harmed anyone. These people deserve hell.”
The report says Anne filed a police report over the scam.
Since the Sunday segment aired, the story has gone viral, igniting a plethora of cyberbullying toward the victim. In the wake of the scrutiny, TF1 journalist Harry Roselmack took to X to announce that the story “has resulted in a wave of harassment against the witness,” leading the network to withdraw the broadcast from its platforms, reported.
Must be brutal to come to realization that Brad Pitt is not holed up in a hospital with cancer receiving your wire transfers, and is in fact living a perfectly happy, healthy life with his super hot 32-year old Swiss jewelry professional girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
I hope this scammer is brought to justice. Jokes aside, AI Brad Pitt took Anne for all she's worth. I mean.. it's wild she let it get to that point. But she allegedly has no money left. She genuinely thought she was saving someone's life. The reports say she struggles with mental health issues. Essentially, AI Brad Pitt hit the scammer lottery.
“It cost me to do it, but I thought that I might be saving a man’s life,” Anne said, according to The Telegraph.
When warned by her daughter that she could be a victim of a scam, she said: “You’ll see when he’s here in person then you’ll say sorry.”
The penny finally dropped in summer 2024 when Anne saw photos of the real Brad Pitt with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. But even then, the scammer doubled down, sending fake “news flashes” claiming Pitt was secretly dating “a special person.”
And in a final cruel twist, someone pretending to be an FBI agent offered to “rescue” her from the scam — for another £4,200.
Now penniless and homeless, Anne has sold all her furniture, moved in with a friend, and launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover her legal fees. After three suicide attempts, she’s been hospitalised in a clinic specialising severe depression, reports BFMTV.
Anne has filed a complaint and an investigation is currently underway.
"You'll see when he's here in person then you'll say sorry". That's a tough quote to have out there. A pretty dark ending to what on the surface is a story you want to just point and laugh at. I'm sorry Anne. You didn't deserve that. I hope your crowdfunding efforts are lucrative. Although I can't easily find your GoFundMe, or whatever site you're using online. You should really get that out there a little better. Or maybe they'll catch this scammer and you'll be repaid in full. Crazier things have happened. Probably.
