All This Talk About Duke Basketball Being Likable Is Disgusting. It's Duke. Duke Should Always Be Hated

I will not apologize for writing this blog. This blog needs to be written whether it's a slow day, busy day or whatever. I saw a couple guys talking mostly sports and became enraged. Duke basketball ... likable. Fuck that. One of the most insane statements I've ever heard. We're talking about Duke, we're talking about easily the most hatable program in all of college basketball. This is likable? 

Mind you this was over a charge call. The same call Duke always gets and people praise them for being 'smart' or 'gritty defensively.' There's a difference between being good and likable. Anyone with a brain knows Cooper Flagg is good. Anyone with a brain knows Duke is a top-10 team in the country this year. Anyone with a brain knows that doesn't make Duke likable. Just because the ACC sucks and Duke has basically turned into Gonzaga playing in the WCC, doesn't make them likable. This man is still sitting around the arena, waiting his turn:

That picture was taken December 31, 2024. He does not coach at Duke right now (wink, wink). Yet here we are with a clear picture of him manipulating refs at Cameron. Just because no one is watching ACC basketball this year, because it's not good, doesn't mean Duke gets to skate by as this likable team. They've had good players before. They've had top recruits before. We didn't like them then, I won't let people start liking them now because of Cooper Flagg. We didn't live through Laettner, Cherokee Parks, Battier, Hurley, Grayson Allen, 942 Plumlee's, Gerald Henderson, Wojo, Redick and the entire K era for people to say Duke is likable now. Duke sucks.
