The Jack Sawyer Scoop And Score Will Go Down As One Of The Greatest Plays In Ohio State History

The Dave Portnoy's of the world are going to continue to try and tear this kid down for caring about his teammates, his school, and his state, but Jack Sawyer solidified himself as (being one play away from) an Ohio State legend tonight with the scoop and score to seal a trip to the College Football Playoff. I'm trying to think back off the top of my head of some of the biggest plays of my lifetime. Holy Buckeye is one, obviously. Zeke 85 yards through the Heart of the South. Clarrett striping Sean Taylor, as well. Curtis Samuel in 2016 scoring to beat Michigan. But other than that, what am I missing? Ted Ginn's kickoff return for TD was fucking awesome in the title game....until we lost by a million. Bottom line: what Jack Sawyer did tonight, as the pride of Ohio, the pride of Pickerington, was legendary. Something that kids will tell their kids who will tell their kids about. I fucking love Jack Sawyer.

Here's another angle for you:

An absolute fucking DAWG. When we needed him most, he gave us his very best. I seriously cannot even remember what my reaction to the play was. I was convinced that game was going to Overtime. In the back of my mind, I was even scared we would turn it over in regulation and lose. But nope. Jack said I'll put the entire state on my back and finish this thing.

Here's a reaction video for you:

I'm so fucking happy for Jack Sawyer. It's Ohio Against The World and the pride of the state made sure we won this one. I'll take any arguments as to how this kid isn't a legend and put them in the trash can.
