Brad Marchand Tells Reporter Who Claimed There's A Rift Between Him And Pastrnak To "Pound Sound", And "Go Back Into The Closet Where No One Knew Who He Was"

Brad Marchand had a STRONG condemnation of a report that came out earlier of a rumored rift between him and David Pastrnak. WEEI's Rich Keefe claiming that Pastrnak told the team he doesn't want to play with Marchand and that it may stem from Marchand calling out Pastrnak for his play. Just three straight minutes of Marchand mudering Keefe. Now don't get me wrong, the team is coming off a 6 game losing streak, obviously the locker room isn't happy-go-lucky but if you thought this report had any sort of validity you're insane. They're best friends, they've been best friends, and it benefits no one to not have them playing with each other. The bottom line is the Bruins do not have the depth and the luxury to let them to play with each other. 

I can't stop laughing at Marchand just laying into this guy. We may suck but that's my Captain!!!!!

A Captain calling out a team's top goal scorer for their performance as of late should not, and probably did not equate to 'I hate his guts and don't want to play with him'. Like I said, Marchand even alluded to the fact that they don't play together so they can spread the depth around. Pastrnak refuted the rumor the second he could. 

Again, it's not surprising to hear that the locker room isn't clicking in a year that has seen them get a coach fired and underperform. But at the end of the day this roster is on management and every day the Jacobs family doesn't fire Neely and Sweeney is a day that they continue to worse. Trades need to happen and Sweeney should not be the one to execute them. Let the kids play. Do fucking SOMETHING, anything. But there shouldn't be a mutiny with the guys in the room. Sweeney put them there. Honestly, maybe an angry Marchand is just what this team needs to wake up.
