This Walmart Drone Delivery Is Officially An Awesome Way To Receive A Package

I wrote yesterday about how technology may have gone too far, and that may be true here as well, but I have to say this is awesome. 

Let's think about package delivery overall. Most of the time you don't see them being delivered. No real pleasure in that. They just show up at the door and you pick them up when you get home from work. Remember the days of seeing the truck pull up as a kid and being excited? That is so few and far between these days. And even now as an adult when you get a package it's a pain in the ass if you are home. The driver rings the bell, you get frazzled of who could be ringing your bell and bothering your day. Then it's the awkward interaction with the driver of "oh thanks" meanwhile under your breathe you are lighting him up with curses for bothering you from getting up from the couch and wondering should you make small talk. Brutal. 

This new system is awesome. Add some fun to package deliver. Add a drone to the mix. Just awesome. Can you imagine being home getting to see this in person? You happen to be mowing the lawn or sitting on a nice day with the windows open and hear the buzzing from a drone and see this thing dropping off whatever nonsense snacks you ordered because you were too lazy to go to the store? Terrific. I said technology went too far, but technology is officially back folks. The more insane delivery methods the better.
