'I Wanted Them In The Fucking Playoffs' - Travis Kelce Shuts Every Person Up Who Is Convinced The Chiefs Screwed The Bengals, Will Play Them In A Parking Lot
I can't believe we still have people talking about the Chiefs fucking the Bengals over. Maybe it's the fact I see it more being in Cincinnati, but there's a good number of people screaming to no one in particular that the Chiefs are scared of the Bengals and that's why they rested their starters. In fact, they are the first team in the history of the NFL to rest their starters. Never been done before, that genius Andy Reid did it again! What's next? Draft a quarterback and sit him behind a vet for a year to learn the system? Groundbreaking stuff here, truly.
I do love this answer from Travis Kelce, which I know people will bitch about, because it's Travis Kelce. There was no guarantee that the Chiefs were even going to play the Bengals! This wasn't the Chiefs resting their starters to dictate their first playoff game. The Bengals would have to go to Buffalo and beat the Bills and then play the Chiefs. Some are saying that would have helped the Chiefs more because you get one of the two elite QBs knocked out in the first round and then play the Bengals and their shit defense at home.
But now we do need this Wal-Mart parking lot game. It's like the end of Blue Mountain State where they play in the field. I'd watch a Chiefs/Bengals parking lot game in June. Make up some sort of fake title and broadcast it. Again, people can bitch about Travis Kelce, but how do you not like this answer? Why would the Chiefs be scared of anyone? They just win, this isn't some up and coming team. This is a team that just finds ways to win (refs, right?). If only September games mattered and you didn't need to beg another team for help. A shame.
