New year, new episode of KFC Radio, and somehow my internship got renewed. Naturally, there was some Golden Globes talk, and everyone agreed that Nikki Glaser stole the show as the host. Outside of Shane Gillis, is there any comedian that’s doing it like she is right now? First she drops her proverbial nuts on the table at the Brady roast
Then she goes and does it AGAIN at the Golden Globes. Not only that, but she was nominated for a Golden Globe herself while simultaneously hosting the Golden Globes. Power move city. I feel like any award show like the Golden Globes is probably the heat checks of all heat checks as a comedian too. I’m sure that presenting to a room of people who are about to have their life’s work judged while 75-80% of them are in all likelihood also raging narcissists who struggle to take a joke at their expense- doesn’t exactly make for the warmest room in the world.
Even the cut stuff was A+ material.
The rumor is she’s gonna go do the damn thing again in 2026.
