Dorian Thompson-Robinson And The Cleveland Browns Put On A Tanking CLINIC This Afternoon
Frank, my good friend, let me let you in on a little secret being kept up in northeast Ohio right now.....we know DTR stinks. Now, if you want to call the Browns dumb for drafting him, I'm all ears. But if anyone wants to call them dumb for starting him over Jameis today against the Dolphins, I got a bridge to sell you. Because the fact of the matter is that, unlike the Giants, word has spread across the decision makers within the organization that it would behoove the Browns to lose the rest of the way out. And there is no one, and I mean NO ONE, that gives you a better chance to lose a football game than Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Here were his season stats coming into tonight's "big game" that was supposed to be on Sunday Night Football:
And today was no different. Add another 0 touchdowns, interception, and 170 yards….on 47 attempts….to the resume. Job well done, DTR! Because again, the Browns were trying to lose.
Never a fucking doubt. 3 points! Proud of our boys today. And until the league decides (which they should) to institute a lottery system so teams don't piss down their leg on purpose at the end of the year, teams like the Browns should continue to put their worst foot forward in Week 17. They were never going to win this one. Stefanski is safe. Andrew Berry is safe. And we want to get the highest pick we could. I don't care if we were playing a high school team today, the Browns were losing.
And honestly, it turned out their biggest deterrent to the tank today was not DTR trying to win, it was that the Dolphins fucking stink, too. How is that team still in playoff contention? But this blog isn't about the bottom dwellers of the AFC Playoff Picture. It's about who has now moved near the TOP of the upcoming NFL Draft.
How fucking dumb are these teams in this graphic that are WINNING games? Shoutout to the Bears. They understand the assignment! Now can we get so lucky that the Pats or Titans fall into the same trap next week? I mean, honestly, today is the first time I've been excited about the Browns, sans the Steelers game, in months. #3 overall pick! I'm not sure what I want them to do with it but the OPTIONS ARE THERE. The Pats have to trade #1, right? They don't want Sheduer, but someone needs him. And then that means we can either get Cam Ward (if we determine he's worth it) or Travis Hunter or trade down and get our guy and get picks back to let someone come get theirs. I don't hate trading out of 3, getting Will Campbell at like 6, and getting another pick for our troubles to still bolster down our line for the future.

Man, I love the draft. Takes me back to my childhood of being a Browns fan. I know this is probably coming across as a little bit tongue in cheek, but if we're not making the playoffs, I want a top 3 pick. And now we have one. Thank you, Drew Lock!
