Coach Gruden Shreds The Chargers Defense And He Wasn't The Only One
Coach Gruden did not like what he saw from the NFL's top scoring defense in the LA Chargers today. In a matchup at SoFi Stadium, they had an east coast team traveling across the country who had two 1st half turnovers. The Chargers led the Bucs 17-13 at half and then the Bucs ripped off a 23-0 2nd half gashing the Chargers on the ground with the banged up Bucky Irving going for 117 yards on just 15 carries including this 54 yard scoot.
Then you had the Bucs lone weapon on the outside that could really keep Defensive Coordinators up at night in Mike Evans go absolutely crazy with 9 catches for 159 yards and score not once...
But twice!
That one on a critical 3rd & long. The Bucs expand their lead in the NFC South as they move to 8-6. And despite the 6-7 Falcons, who play the lowly Raiders tomorrow night having the head-to-head tiebreaker with Tampa Bay, the Bucs are now -550 on DraftKings to win the division, which I told you to bet on November 5th.
The Bucs are in the driver's seat with a final three games of:
at Dallas (on Sunday Night Football)
vs. New Orleans
vs. Carolina
It's going to be tough for Atlanta to make up multiple games to close that gap, so they can't afford to falter and will likely need to run the table, albeit with a fairly soft schedule:
at Las Vegas
vs. NY Giants
at Washington
vs. Carolina
And Coach Gruden talked about way more than just the Chargers. We took calls from fans of all teams. Check out the full show here:
