I said it in my blog earlier this week when the news broke that Louie passed away. You can't tell the story of the Big East without him. He's that important to the sport. He's a legend through and through. He also made the sweater look famous. That moment with him and John Thompson is one of the most iconic, not just in the Big East, but in all of basketball. He led St. John's to a Final Four. He grew that program and was a staple of New York basketball.

So fast forward to today and it's the first game since his death. You had to have the right tribute. It's fitting this game is being played in Carnesecca Arena and not MSG. St. John's is wearing the perfect badge for him too:

Perfect all around. Go Johnnies.
