4-Star QB Julian Lewis Commits to Colorado To Be the Guy Following Shedeur Sanders

With all the talk of Deion Sanders potentially trying to follow Shedeur Sanders to the NFL, it certainly seems like recruits think Coach Prime will still be in Boulder next season.

Four-star quarterback Julian Lewis committed to Colorado on Thursday, just a few days after de-committing from USC. Lewis visited Colorado two weeks ago before visiting Georgia for the Bulldogs' game against Tennessee last Saturday. In 11 games this season, Lewis has completed 200 of 257 passes for 2,842 yards, 40 touchdowns and four interceptions.

What a turnaround it's been for the Buffs this season. It wasn't that long ago that CU was 1-1 with a nail-biting win over North Dakota State and a blowout loss to Nebraska, but now Coach Prime and Co. are 8-2 and the favorites to win the Big 12 and receive an automatic bid into the College Football Playoff. And on top of that, they just secured one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 class to replace Shedeur Sanders.

I wasn't sure what was going to come of the Coach Prime experiment earlier this season, but it looks like Colorado might have some staying power. And that's even beyond potentially turning a 1-11 team into a College Football Playoff team with a Heisman Trophy winner in two years. Not too bad.
