'Honestly, It's The Coach' - Tim Weah Has United All Of US Soccer Fans By Seemingly Insulting Gregg Berhalter And His Terrible Style One Last Time

I've never seen US soccer fans this united. Well, except in July, when we all were praising the firing of Gregg Berhalter. It was more than time, it was the dumbest thing ever that we brought Berhalter back after we let him go the first time. Now things are better, things are different. Don't make any mistake, Mauricio Pochettino is doing what we have been begging for. He's playing a style that actually produces goals and gets our best players into space. Plus, Weah can say whatever he wants after he scores a goal like this:

It's not even just Weah. Pochettino has Antonee Robinson all over the field. He has him pushing up and playing more in the center and letting him create. He has Pepi scoring goals. He has the ability to put Musah basically anywhere, especially when Reyna and Adams are healthy and there's even more talent and depth in the midfield. Pulisic is still our star. McKennie created a couple goals against Jamaica. Yeah, it's the coach.

I keep saying it but we're in arguably the most important 2-year window for US soccer. We can't keep crashing out in major events like Copa America. We can't keep just getting out of group stage and losing right away in the knockout round. You finally have a group of guys who have grown up together, in their prime, playing on home soil and a coach who we respect.

I know people aren't going to get fired up over a win against Jamaica. But we're doing what we're supposed to do. 4 goals, looking the part. We can only play these sort of teams in CONCACAF. It's about looking the part against those teams before we play one of the countries that we're trying to beat.
