"Whoever Leaked That Is A Real Piece Of Shit" - Joel Embiid Continues To Focus On All The Wrong Things

Joel Embiid courageously played in his 4th game of the season last night. It was going to be the first time that Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey all got a chance to play together this year. If there's one thing that can turn this season from hell around, it'll be those 3 logging meaningful minutes together and getting this ship back on track.

They ended up playing 5 minutes together last night before Paul George left the game with another knee injury.

So even after a decent game out of Embiid where he gave you 35 points in 35 minutes, the Sixers still dropped to 2-12 on the year. Can you name all the teams in the NBA right now that are 10 games under .500? It's the Sixers. That's it.

Now obviously the biggest story surrounding this dog shit team right now is the team meeting that was leaked to the media after the loss in Miami on Monday night. The meeting where Tyrese Maxey had to check Joel Embiid on being "late for everything". Clearly the meeting sparked a little fire under Embiid's ass with his performance on the floor last night. But off the court, it's a lot of the same issues we've seen out of Joel this whole time…

I mean…come on, man. It's so easy. All you have to do is learn to just shut up instead of saying every single intrusive thought that pops into your brain when you're talking to the media. You can feel in your heart that whoever leaked that is a piece of shit. But for the love of god, just don't say it out loud.

Here's the blueprint--you say the team had an open discussion to get everyone on the same page, you mention that you need to be better for your teammates, and then you leave it at that. You. Leave. It. At. That. No need to bitch about whoever leaked the story. No need to bitch about how exhausting it is to deal with the same thing over and over again, because that's exactly what the fans are dealing with right now about you.

Best case scenario right now is the Sixers pick up a few more losses over the next couple of weeks and the team decides the season is a total loss. Shut everyone down and we can all forget about this team until next season. I've said it before but it's never been more true than now--Philly fans deserve a break from the Sixers. We need some time apart so that we can learn to love ourselves again before we give any more energy to this organization.
