Draymond Green Truly Left Planet Earth While Discussing His Dirty Play Against Zach Edey On His Podcast
It was probably the least surprising thing of all time that with the start of the new NBA season, Draymond Green did something fucked up and completely inexcusable on the basketball court. When it comes to Draymond and dirty plays, it's more of a "when" situation as opposed to an "if". You know it's coming, he knows it's coming, and it's only a matter of time before ehe tries something.
Our first instance came last week on a dangerous play following a turnover when he grabbed the ankle/achilles of Zach Edey
As I said at the time in the blog, it was vintage Draymond. Every objective person with working eyes knows it was a fucked up play, Warriors fans and Draymond deny it, and around and around we go. Seeing as how he's lost the benefit of the doubt when it comes to shit like this, one would think that after a few days to reflect on his actions that this new and improved Draymond would take ownership and responsibility for his actions.
Ha, just kidding. Of course that didn't happen. Instead, Draymond hopped on his podcast and pretty much crashed out when talking about the play
On one hand, you almost have to respect this level of delusion. It's so absurd I don't even know how to make sense of it. Draymond truly believes there are some who think he should be suspended as a way to increase the NBA's ratings? You can't help but laugh when you say that out loud.
Could it be that maybe, MAYBE people think a guy who repeatedly does dirty shit that could very well cause legitimate injury should face the consequences of his actions? Given that this is example #238547268734 of these types of plays, it has nothing to do with NBA ratings and everything to do with Draymond continuing to do fucked up shit on the court. Again, as a repeat offender, it's not exactly an outrageous claim considering he's already been suspended for this kind of stuff.
While funny, the part about Taylor Jenkins is my favorite. Taylor Jenkins sticking up for his player and calling out Draymond for his bullshit is #actuallybad? The irony of talking about how Jenkins just taught his rookie to be emotional and soft and cry to the media about a foul while Draymond is getting emotional and crying about the foul on his podcast (media) is VERY funny. None of that logic makes any goddamn sense. Edey didn't cry about it. His coach stood up for him in regards to a play that was 1000% dirty.

Nobody believes that Zach Edey is tough now? What? I thought the suspension angle was insane, but this goes to an even higher level of delusion. Coaches stick up for their players. This is no different from what Draymond's own coach has done!
The whole "we're big men!" angle is also very bizarre. So just because he's a giant center it should be OK to grab his achilles like that and be reckless? Surely Draymond Green wouldn't freak out and get pissed if someone tried a play like that on him. He'd just shrug it off and go about his business I'm sure.
In the end, this is what happens when a franchise and a league continue to enable Draymond. Does this sound like a changed player to you? What happened to all that therapy that was supposed to stop plays and actions like this? Ultimately this is what you get when the NBA continues to turn a blind eye and Steve Kerr continues to make excuses for these actions.
Draymond does not believe he did anything wrong and it's actually everyone else who is at fault here and the NBA has nobody to blame but themselves for what they have helped create.
