Tre Mann Has Taken Over As The Leader In The Clubhouse For The Dunk Of The Year
While most of the storylines from tonight will be about the defending Champs ending the Cavs undefeated season despite some extreme fuckery per usual from Tony Brothers, what shouldn't get lost in the shuffle is the latest Dunk Of The Year candidate Tre Mann. If you want to talk about a poster, well I'm not sure it gets better than this

I'm going to say it. This is the leader in the clubhouse for Dunk Of The Year so far in this young NBA season. You can trust me, I'm a professional who monitors this kind of thing and while there have been other contenders for the top spot, Tre Mann sits alone in first place.
Everything about the dunk was flawless. The liftoff point? How about the middle of the paint
We got a beautiful full extension at the apex of the jump
He checks the box of going through a defender while absorbing the contact which is important. To me, that's what makes the best posters. When you overpower the defender and then bring the rain, which is what brings us to the finish. Now a play like this could go one of two ways. You could find a way to make contact with the rim so it actually qualifies as a poster, or you could end it with a throw-in finish which is always a bit of a letdown. The way Mann finished that dunk is what makes it perfect

Just enough contact for it to count and be worthy of being the early leader for the Dunk Of The Year.
And I'll tell you this much. Fuck that ref for calling a tech in that spot. Hey Adam Silver you bozo, you want to know why people think your product stinks? Because of calls like that. If you pull off a dunk like that, you should be able to taunt or talk however much shit you want. That's sports. The passion and the shit talking are what make it awesome, so to immediately be a buzzkill and call a tech there is extremely embarrassing for the league. Have a sense of the moment for me one time dude. What an asshole.
