Alabama Basketball Correspondent Rico Bosco Gives His Take On The Pulse Of Tuscaloosa Following The Crimson Tide's Loss

Sorry for the delay on the normal Monday morning show as Titus is dealing with a dog struggle (he details to open the show if you're interested), but as we returned to action today, we had to talk about Purdue's upset on Friday night against the #2 team in the country, Alabama. Now, Mackey Arena was rocking and it's not like the Tide were 20 point favorites, so it's not the most shocking result in the world. However with the fact Purdue is still figuring out who they are without Zach Edey, and Alabama has the supposed deepest team in the country + best point guard in the country, there simply was no one actually taking the Boilermakers on Friday. And they won....by 9. Anyways, we figured that the best way to get the pulse of the Tide was to call our boots-on-the-ground corespondent in Tuscaloosa to see how the program was doing, and credit to Rico Bosco, he answered on the first ring.

Seems to me that spirits are still high, although their performance in their upcoming gauntlet of a schedule could certainly change that in a heartbeat. Alabama's plays Illinois tonight, Houston on Tuesday, Rutgers on Wednesday, UNC on December 4th, and Creighton on December 14th. How many are they allowed to lose and still be optimistic? We'll check back with Bosco as needed.
