The Poor Chicago Bears Found Another Way To Snatch Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory, Losing To Green Bay On A Last Second Blocked Field Goal

The Chicago boys had a Miller Lite promo today (Great Taste AND Less Filling), and are at Soldier right now and witnessed this in person, so I'm helping out blogging this for them so they can look for some rope to hang themselves.

The poor fucking Bears man.

This win could have breathed life into what has amounted to a completely lost season. It could have revitalized (somewhat), this poor fanbase who are in such an abusive relationship with this team, that even Ike Turner would feel bad for them. This also could have been just the confidence booster their young quarterback needs so badly right now. Caleb was surgical on that last drive. Completing a perfect throw on 4th and 3 to keep the drive, and game, alive. But nope.

It also could have justified keeping Eberflus around a bit longer.

But in textbook Flus fashion, he ruined what should have been a game winning drive from his rookie qb. The Bears decided to forego picking up another 5 or 10 yards. Eberflus decided 46 yards was where he wanted Santos to kick from, well within his range, but not a "chip shot" by any means. So they let the clock run down and called a time out with :03.

And then, heartbreak.

Because of the distance, the kick was low, and Karl Brooks blew through the line and got the tip of his finger on the ball.

So Packers.

So Bears.

This surprisingly used to actually be a legit rivalry.

Total Meetings: 208
All-Time Series: Packers 107-95-6
Postseason series: 1-1
Largest Victory:  Bears: 61-7 in 1980  Packers: 49-0 in 1962
Longest Win Streak:  - Bears: 8 games (1985-1988)  - Packers: 11 games 2019-present)

But lately, this team is so snakebitten when it comes to Green Bay it's wild. I've never seen anything like it. Even with Buffalo and New England. At least the Bills get their doors blown off every time they play New England. It's completely one-sided but the Bills don't lose in heartbreaking fashion every time. The Bears love to torture their fans.

Pray for Chicago.

p.s.- Brady sounded so sad for Chicago's fans and players there at the end. Even he knows.

p.p.s. - somebody on the production team needs to go back and make a supercut reel of all of Eddie's heartbreak videos. Thing would be like 20 minutes long.
