Draymond Green Is Back To His Old Tricks After Unleashing His First Dirty Play Of The Season

No matter how you slice it, the Warriors are off to a fantastic start to the 2024-25 NBA season. The third highest winning percentage in the league (10-2), the 4th ranked offense paired with he 4th best defense and 4th best net rating, 6-1 on the road, a +10.5 point differential, 6-1 vs teams below .500, the list goes on and on. It's safe to say they certainly look like the Warriors of old

For a lot of basketball reasons, you could make the claim that the Warriors are #Back. What really drives that point home though is the fact that we aren't only getting the vintage Warriors on the court in terms of their basketball dominance, we're also getting vintage Draymond Green, who once again couldn't help himself from doing something extremely fucked up and shady to an opposing player

That was VINTAGE Draymond Green on that play. It was him running his playbook to perfection. A very fucked up and completely unnecessary playbook, but a playbook nonetheless. You see what Draymond has mastered is his ability to put himself into these types of positions where there is juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust enough reasonable doubt that he can try and play it off like he had no idea what was happening. It's bullshit and we all know it's bullshit, but for example, on a play like this, Draymond and Warriors fans would suggest he was simply rolling around and just happened to make contact with Zach Edey there. A complete freak accident.

You know, just like the hundreds of other times we've seen plays exactly like this by Draymond. It is so bizarre how he keeps finding himself in these freak accidents! What bad luck!

In reality, he's just up to his same old bullshit. I guess when it comes to stopping these types of antics on the floor, that part of his therapy hasn't really kicked in yet. Does that look like a changed basketball player to you? Sure doesn't to me and we're only 12 games into the NBA season. It's extremely reckless to grab the feet/ankles/legs of a 7 footer like that, especially one that already has a history of ankle injuries dating back to Summer League. 

Just a real dickhead move considering Edey wasn't even involved in the play that caused Draymond to lose his footing! I get it, you're trying to stop a fast break. Well, maybe don't turn the ball over next time? That's always an option instead of doing shit like this and potentially hurting a kid just because you fucked up. 

With Draymond, he obviously loses any benefit of the doubt, so what happens next? Is it possible Adam Silver reviews the tape and suspends him for being a repeat offender? This wasn't exactly to the level of his normal move of kicking someone in the dick, but it's very clear Draymond intentionally clamped his arm around Edey's ankle/achilles and I'm not so sure you want the precedent being set that a move like that is acceptable. 

It's only a matter of time before we get another Draymond incident, that much we know is true. It's all part of the formula of the Warriors being back. Draymond is pulling shady shit and Steph Curry is turning into a must-watch late night basketball demon, so it's basically 2016 again. Good luck to the rest of the West!

 There was a hilarious amount of fuckery to end this game and watching Steve Kerr lose his shit on the officials

had me in a bit of a pickle. On one hand, fuck Steve Kerr. But on the other hand, fuck NBA refs more. The enemy of my enemy is my friend situation you know? NBA officials are certified bozos, so I have no choice but to support Kerr here.
