'Only The Strong Survive' - DeMarcus Cousins Thinks The NBA Should Add '2-Minute Fight Sessions' To Let Guys Brawl, Boost The Ratings

You know what? He might be onto something here. It's reasonable, 2 minute fight sessions. No more playing grab ass, no more horseplay, just 2-minute brawls to let guys get stuff off their chest and handle it in a normal fashion. After those 2 minutes are up, no more fighting. Just fouls and possible suspensions. But in those 2 minutes? Need everyone getting into it. Think about the possibilities of seeing Draymond Green and Jordan Poole getting into it publicly or if Draymond kicks someone in the nuts again, they get a chance to respond. It's genius.

This would also be a great time to bring back enforcers. A perfect spot to use one of those two-way contracts or keep Udonis Haslam on the bench in Miami. You know the moment they come into the game, it's about to be a fight. Forget Red Zone channel, bring in NBA Fight channel. You get an alert when the 2 minute brawl is about to begin and they cut right to it. Plus, people can't complain about the NBA being soft anymore. It's what we need.

I hate the whole ratings debate. Everyone has this over the top thought process about why ratings are down. I don't care. If you watch the sport, you're going to watch the sport. But this is a good way to shut everyone up. Plus, it's a great idea to get Boogie back in the league. Sign him to a vet minimum and have him looming on the bench. Also need this to open up for coaches too. I'll take Thibs in a coach royal rumble. There's no bad ideas when you're thinking out loud.
