Not a Must Watch But Still Pretty Cool: Remarkable Touchdown Throw & Catch From Viktor The Viking to Colts' Mascot Blue During Kids vs Mascots Football Game

Every time I see a group of grown adults in mascot costumes take on a team of small children in a contest of tackle football, it inspires hope. So many great things have been taken away from us. "The pussification of America" as some like to call it. Dodgeball has been banned in gym classes across the country. Delicious school lunches (i.e. rectangular pizza soaked in grease, chicken on bun, etc.) have been replaced by nothing but Michelle Obama approved salads. You can't even beat the shit out of nerds anymore. Not good.

But somehow, grown men in mascot costumes pummeling children gladiator style in front of a crowd of 70,000 roaring fans has stood the test of time.

It's mascot vs children football games, and strapping kids to sheep during intermission at the rodeo. That's all we have left.

But back to the video in question. What a remarkable pass and catch from Viktor The Viking to Blue The Horse. Take a look again.

I wore the Bowling Green Bobcat mascot head for about 10 minutes one time back in high school. I could barely see 10 feet in front of me. It would have been hard to walk. Now I'm sure NFL mascot costumes have far superior visibility than the 20 year old bobcat head I put on back in 2008. But to track a pass down from 30 yards away and go full extension in the end zone to come down with the catch in any sort of mascot costume is highly impressive stuff.

Blue the mascot might be the best thing the Colts have going for them this season. On top of being the clear cut WR1 of NFL mascots, the man inside of the Blue costume might be the most unhinged inhabitant of all the world's mascot costumes.
