James Franklin Says There Is "Nothing Better Than A Noon Game In Happy Valley"
What's his angle here? The man is lying through his teeth and he knows it, to the point where I'm wondering if I'm missing some hidden agenda behind him half-assedly saying "There is nothing better than a Noon game in Happy Valley" when everyone and their sister knows this weekend's #3 vs. #4 matchup between Ohio State and Penn State should be a White Out primetime under the lights game. Is he saying he so sarcastically that he makes his point? Or is Fox paying him off? Because in a world where there's a lot of things ruining College Football (still the best sport out there), Big Noon Kickoff is certainly one of them. And it's flat out DISGUSTING that we're robbing ourselves of this atmosphere on Saturday night:
I genuinely feel bad for the Penn State students. I've felt that pain for many years as an Ohio State fan, where our biggest game of the season is right after breakfast when we play Michigan at noon. But at least that's a tradition? This is simply because Fox wants the game in a certain timeslot. Sad!
Anyways, as for the game, what a coaching matchup we have. Sources say that Ryan Day hasn’t beaten a Top 5 opponent since September 3rd, 2022 (4 straight losses). The same sources say James Franklin hasn’t beaten a Top 5 opponent since October 22nd, 2016 (10 straight losses). Someone has to win…..right?
If we're all in the trust tree here though….Ohio State is fine, right? I'll need to see a Penn State team beat an Ohio State team with my own two eyes before I can believe it's even possible. I mean, here's the series record since my days back in Columbus…

And if you remember that 2016 game, while it hurt, you know it was a fluke. So yeah, Ohio State has struggled. Our line is decimated. We can't run the ball. Our defense was supposed to be the best in the history of the world, but it gave up 32 points a few weeks back. And now we're going into an undefeated 7-0 "no better place than Happy Valley at noon" type atmosphere?
Ohio State 34, Penn State 13.
