Joe Flacco Is Still Elite: Colts Decide To Bench Anthony Richardson After Admitting He Subbed Himself Out Because He Was 'Tired'

Right to the point here, it's a no-brainer to do this. You can't have a quarterback willingly taking themselves out of a game because they are tired and then roll with them the rest of the year:

I don't care if you're tired. You're the starting QB, you gotta suck it up for the rest of the drive then go get some oxygen. Doesn't help that Anthony Richardson can't pass too. Well, he can throw but not complete passes, I should clarify that:

SEC! SEC! It just means more, baby. Just a hilarious list of quarterbacks there plus Tulane was once in the SEC so it works. Either way, Richardson has been bust potential. He was a raw player who had just a handful of starts in college before getting picked. Now you're dealing with injuries, subbing himself out and getting benched. Think the only right thing to do is trade him and Bryce Young.

For Flacco? Yeah, sign me up. Dude brought the Browns to the playoffs last year and has looked decent for the Colts so far this season. There's something about the crafty veteran (cliche enough here?) coming in and finding a way to get a win. It's not like the Colts are out of the race either. They are 2 games back in the AFC South and have the same amount of wins as the Chargers for the last spot in the playoffs. Time to bring in the elite player. Never sub yourself out. That's the real lesson here.
