After One Season The Indiana Fever Have Fired Their Head Coach Christie Sides

NFL Sunday? Nah, brother. We've got breaking WNBA offseason news going down. One and done. After one season as the head coach of the Indiana Fever the team has decided to part ways with Christie Sides. This is a great thing for the future of the team. The Fever improved their record and made the playoffs after back to back seasons as the worst team in the league, but with the roster the Fever have, Barstool's intramural head coach Chris Klemmer could have gotten this team to the playoffs.

The Fever were on an incredible hot streak mid-season, so you don't want to kill the vibes by demanding a coach be fired when the girls are on a run, but if you watched the games you knew Sides needed to go. The Fever feasted on losing teams in the league while the top 4 teams coached circles around the Fever. If you watched any Fever vs Lynx games the discrepancy was wild between Sides and Cheryl Reeve. Yes, Reeve is a high bar to compare someone to as the best coach in the W, and the reason why the Lynx were in the finals and have a dynasty, but the Fever can't get out coached the way they did with the talent they have.

Who takes her place? I don't know. I'm a bandwagoner who could name maybe 5 coaches. Two of them being college coaches Geno Auriemma and Pat Summit (RIP). With the young core, and best back court in the WNBA, the Fever need someone to coach up these young players because if the Fever have good coach, there is nothing stopping them from becoming a dynasty.

See you in April.
