Fan Asks Dana White For A UFC Contract At Today's Press Conference, And He May Just Get His Wish

Here's one of those awesome things that can only happen in the UFC.

At today's press conference for UFC 308 on Saturday (full card preview here), a fan and regional MMA fighter from Russia named Dorobshokh Nabotov stepped up to the mic to ask a question - and instead asked Dana White for a UFC contract. He explained that he's 9-0 (Tapology says 7-0 but regardless, he's undefeated) and is ready for a short notice fight in the lightweight division whenever/wherever, and Dana immediately invited him up on stage and introduced him to who he needs to talk to for wheels to get in motion there.

Just hours later, Dana does an interview with TMZ Sports and tells them that he's already going to South Korea to film "Lookin For A Fight" in December - so he called up The Korean Zombie (who now runs a promotion out there) and had him add this guy to that card. If Nabotov wins on that night in Korea, he'll be signed to the UFC....

What a story this will be if he turns out to be some kinda incredible fighter. Imagine that? Going from a fan basically ambushing a PPV presser to a UFC fighter in the span of a few months? Stepping up and shooting your shot pays off every now and then, ladies and gentlemen!

Ariel Helwani made the great point that this was basically the way Santino Marella debuted in the WWE….

Side note? Santino fucking ruled. Never forget when the whole world thought he was gonna win the World Heavyweight Championship with the Cobra….

Alright that's enough wrestling clips for an MMA blog. Especially goofy ass snake-on-the-arm-ass wrestling clips. Apologies. That's on me.
