Indiana Football Might Be Cursed, But Never Daunted Despite The Hoosier's Starting QB Not Expected To Play With A Throwing Hand Injury

NOOOOOOOOOOO! Last time the Hoosiers were good it was Michael Penix getting hurt, now Kurtis Rourke. For the love of all things that are holy, please don't let this be serious. Break all my phalanges, tear all my finger ligaments, cut my hands off if you have to! But, whatever you do, don't take Kurtis Rourke's throwing hand. All I need them my right hand for is jerking off and scrolling my phone, this man is part of something bigger, a movement, turning Indiana into a football school, and making the college football playoff.

I might sound daunted right now, but I'm not going to panic. I couldn't be more undaunted. In Cig We Trust. Sounds like Rourke being in street clothes during the second half yesterday was precautionary, and if Indiana needed Rourke, he would have been in the game. Cig was going to make sure Indiana stayed focused, and didn't have a big win hangover with Washington coming off a bye and visiting Bloomington next weekend. Now, Coach has all the motivation in the world to keep the team focused. it's next man up, and everyone has to step up if the Hoosiers want to stay undefeated. Plus, Tayven Jackson, brother of IU legend Trayce Jackson Davis, isn't exactly a schlub.

As long as Coach Cignetti is on the sidelines, I'm not worried. The Hoosiers will be ready to go. This is an obscure reference, but it reminds me of 2016 when Tom Brady was suspended, Garopollo was hurt, and the Patriots were on their 3rd string QB, Jacoby Brissett. Bill Belichick drew up a game plan where it was next man up, and dusted the Texans 27-0. Ironically even after Vince Wilfork landed on Brissett's throwing thumb and turned his ligaments to a pulp, Belichick found a way to hold on for the win with the most vanilla offense of all time. That's what great coach's do, they win, and if you google Cignetti you'll see that's what he does.
