Congratulations To Skip Bayless For Having The First Broken Brain Jayson Tatum/Jaylen Brown Hot Take Of The New NBA Season

Once we get to this time of year, there are a number of signs that show us the new NBA season is quickly approaching. The weather starts to get cooler, you flip on your TV late at night and there's some sort of West Coast game going on, ESPN and other outlets release their clear rage bait of Top 100 lists, you can pretty much set your watch to it.

One thing that has also become a yearly tradition is talking heads saying some of the dumbest fucking shit you will ever hear when it comes to the Boston Celtics. We've all seen the playbook because the same approach has been used since 2017. Discredit everything they do on the floor, try pit Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown against each other, and simply rehash the same outdated narratives that have been proven wrong year after year after year.

So as we enter the 2024-25 season, I'd like to congratulate Skip Bayless as our first entry of a media member whose brain has completely broken when it comes to the Boston Celtics. I'll admit, few things bring me as much joy as seeing what the Celtics winning their title has done to the collective psyche of these bozos.

I know Skip is trying to get back into the mix, which is probably why he went with the full LeBron approach in that rant. It's almost impressive how incorrect someone can be all while talking with such confidence. But this is what I mean when I say the Celts have broken everyone's brain. Saying that shit in 2024, with the Celtics coming off a title, with Jayson Tatum having just done this

is very funny. I mean this was just like what we heard about these two all the way back in……2019. Imagine doing a "Tatum and Brown barely coexist" bit in 2024 with them coming off a title while showing the world they very much DO coexist? In fact, they coexist on a championship-caliber level?

There's no denying Jaylen was awesome in the playoffs. We all have eyes. You know who was awesome too? Their best player! Deep down you know Skip doesn't believe this shit, but here's what he knows. He knows it's hot in the streets to shit on Jayson Tatum and try and invalidate everything he accomplished this postseason after YEARS of saying he'd never do it. So what's the next move? Prop up Jaylen in an effort to knock down Tatum. The clip will go viral, he'll get his face and out there, blogs like this will be written, it's the oldest trick in the book. If you want engagement online, you use shitting on Jayson Tatum's name to get it.

The only people who agree with a take like this are fanbases who are still very hurt that Tatum (and Brown) continue to destroy their favorite team. You look at the responses and it's all Sixers/Heat/Bucks etc fans agreeing with Skip and anyone with an actual functioning brain understanding just how sad something like this is at this point. The more and more these sort of take happen you understand that the only way to have a stance like this is to simply pretend that Jayson Tatum's entire career doesn't exist. Unfortunately, the footage exists. We saw what happened.

All I know is I cannot wait for another year of this. Now that the Celts reached the top of the mountain all you can do is laugh at those who still try and play this bit.
