Must Listen: The Spanish Broadcast Call of Jhonkensy Noel's 2 Out Game Tying Home Run Tonight Was All Time

Unreal call.

Unreal game.

Unreal 2024 MLB Postseason. And we're only halfway through the Championship Series'.

That's Cleveland’s Rafa Hernández-Brito screaming "Feliz Navidad" like a madman, and Indians legend Carlos Baerga laughing his ass off at him.

With all the soap opera theatrics between grown men going on around here, it's important to remember there was a pretty important baseball game going on tonight. Somebody's got to write about the actual game.

(Which Hubbs did from the Yankees fan perspective.)

As exciting as "Big Christmas;" (A+ nickname) home run was, hearing and seeing the crowd at Progressive lose their collective minds on the David Fry walk-off was something else.

Here it is from somebody in left field's perspective

And here it is from a few blocks away.

I feel like a broken record player, because I keep saying it night after night these past few weeks, but there is seriously nothing else like playoff baseball.

Playoff hockey comes awfully close in terms of intensity and stressfulness, but nothing can compare to the drama of baseball. I seriously think if the regular season was even close to as exciting as the playoffs baseball would be the biggest sport in the world. (Blog on this coming tomorrow).

Not having a team in this years playoffs has actually been a relief. Like Hubbs said, that game tonight for Yankees fans was a rollercoaster and a half. Cloud 9 one minute,, with Weaver looking untouchable and cruising. And next minute, trying to figure out what a game 6 and 7 pitching matchup might look like.

p.s. - Tate is right, I get the whole "the enemy of my enemy is my ally" thing but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the El Pres celebrating a (too-soon) Yankee victory. For any reason.

p.p.s. - I'm Team Portnoy for life, but if Dave going at Tate isn't "punching down" as they accused Tate of doing on the unnamed show today, then what is?
