Our Long National Nightmare Is Over: Jeremy Swayman Has Re-Signed In Boston

OUR LONG NATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS FINALLY OVER!!! Jeremy Swayman has officially signed an 8 year contract extension worth 66 million dollars ending a long, painful and incredibly public negotiation. The Bruins and Swayman finally bridged the gap and they have their No. 1 goalie locked up. Fucking finally. The relief I feel is tremendous and I'm so glad this "holdout" didn't last until December. It got messy on both sides but now they have finally come to terms all of the bullshit of the past doesn't matter. No more hurt feelings, just hockey. Now with that being said, opening night is on Tuesday it's likely we see Korpisalo against the Panthers until Swayman gets back up to NHL speed, but that shouldn't be too long. Not worried. Just glad this soap opera is finally over.

There will have to be roster moves to be cap compliant come tomorrow at 5pm. I would imagine Tyler Johnson gets signed from his PTO but that may be after the season officially kicks off. Some moves to be made.

Swayman gets 66 million reasons to play hockey again and NOW WE GO.

Full season preview coming Tuesday. Let's go win a Cup.
