UPDATE: Jeremy Swayman's Agent Has Released A Statement That The Bruins Did NOT Offer 64 Million

Jeremy Swayman's agent has released a statement after Cam Neely referenced a 64 million dollar offer to the media and it turns out, that offer was never made...

"Normally I do not release statements or discuss negotiations through the media. However, in this case, I feel I need to defend my client. At today's press conference, $64 million was referenced. This was the first time that number was discussed in our negotiations. Prior to the press conference, no offer was made reaching that level. We are extremely disappointed. This was not fair to Jeremy. We will take a few days to discuss where we go from here." - Lewis Gross

Yikes! I feel like I am officially going insane with how public and crazy this negotiation has become. The fact that it's gotten to this point is bananas. Now was the Bruins offer like 63.9 million and Lewis Gross is just splitting hairs? Who knows. It's quite frankly more embarrassing how these two camps are fighting through the media trying to change the narrative every which way. The truth lays somewhere in the middle and no one really knows who to trust.

HOWEVERRRRRRRRR, my spin zone is that maybe $64 million gets the job done??? If it's really first time Swayman's camp is hearing this number since no offer was made "reaching that level". Let's get it done, 8x8 and then everyone can forget how dumb these negotiations have been and we can live happily ever after! Please? God, please.

*whispers* (If Swayman asks for a trade because of this I will never forgive you, Don)
