'Please, Everyone, Make Jokes About My Boobs' - Sydney Sweeney's Simple Request When She Hosted SNL Proves She Understands The Show

We know that Sydney Sweeney hosted SNL last year. We know that she drew in viewers, was a pretty solid host and wasn't afraid to lead into jokes. It's what SNL used to be. There was a time, believe it or not, where SNL was must watch. You wanted to see the cast, you wanted to see the skits and jokes, it was one of the best shows on TV. That's obviously no longer the case on a regular basis, but Sydney Sweeney did her best to play into jokes

[Source] - In fact, the Euphoria actress even requested punchlines about her breasts for the Hooters sketch they performed together.

'[Sydney] is an example of a host who came in and understood how she was being consumed and perceived already,' Yang said on former SNL cast members Dana Carvey and David Spade’s podcast Fly on the Wall.

'She came in and was like, "Please, everyone, make jokes about my boobs,"' he added. 'She was practically begging everybody.'

The Anyone But You star had previously shared with GQ that she intentionally aimed to confront how others perceive her.

That's someone who gets it. In case you didn't see the skit, here you go:

You're supposed to be able to make fun of yourself. It even says right there in the article that she intentionally aims to confront how people perceive her. That's step 1. If you make the jokes and lean into it all everyone else is going to be like well, that's funny. Can't say anything different when you do it to yourself. It's really a lesson for everyone to have. You think I give a shit if people call me bald or short or having one Achilles? No, it's all funny. Plus, being bald is sweet. I can wear a hat and not worry about messing up hair. I can enjoy rides with the window down or on a boat and not have my hair all messed up. Yes, I related being bald to Sydney Sweeney asking people to make fun of her boobs. It doesn't make sense, but it makes sense.

The fact she made jokes about Glen Powell and mocked Madame Web? Bring her back. She should for sure host at least one more time if this is how she's going into episodes and the mindset she has when it comes to comedy. Funny is funny. Also confirmed that Sydney Sweeney gets it.
