Jagr Trackr: The Young Phenom Scored His First Goal Of The Season In The Czech League

Welcome back to another edition of the Jagr Trackr. The blog where I post about every single point Jaromir Jagr scores as he plays in the final season of his professional hockey career.

A career that started in 1988 playing for Kladno in the top Czechoslovakian league. A career that spanned 24 seasons in the NHL, with a few years in the middle where he spent playing in the KHL. A career that has still been going since 2018 helping Kladno get promoted from the second tier league in Czechia back into the top league.

And now in his 37th year of playing professional hockey, Jaromir Jagr is still adding to his goal totals. That's a goal and an assist in his first 3 games as a 52-year-old playing in a top 10 hockey league in the world.

His latest goal is exactly why this man could play until he's 92 and still find the back of the net. The backhand off the spin may not have as much on it as his younger days, but he still has the ability to put goalies in damn near impossible situations. He's not going to give goalies many opportunities to make clean saves on him. And if there's a rebound that pops out in front of the net, there are very few people out there who are going to knock Jagr off that puck. Doesn't matter if he's 25 or 52, Jaromir Jagr and that power ass are simply too strong in front of the net for anybody to defend. Credit to the goalie on making the first save, but you sure as shit aren't making the second one against him.

Most combined career goals in professional hockey history. Maybe Ovechkin will have a chance to catch up if he spends another 7 years playing in the KHL after his NHL season wraps up. But there's a good chance that every goal Jaromir Jagr scores this year will only pad his lead that will last for the rest of time.
