James Madison Beat UNC's Ass So Bad, Mack Brown Reportedly Told The Team He's 'Walking Away' From The Program In The Locker Room

We saw what happened. James Madison beat the everliving shit out of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. 70 points, setting records, all that stuff. So Mack Brown had the reasonable response to it. He reportedly told the team he's retiring:

I love this move so much. You don't know what to do as a coach. All you can do is retire and tell the team you're retiring when everyone else says nope, normal Sunday coming. Love it so much because we've all been there. Golf? How many times have we all quit on the golf course? Then 18 happens, you play a perfect par and come back for more punishment. It's every single sport, every single level, people threaten to quit at all times. There's no chance Mack Brown is walking away after a 20-point embarrassment at home, even though he should. He got lucky with Howell and Maye running there and could have just left.

I need to know even more what his normal Sunday looks like. It's now going to include putting out a statement about not retiring. I assume he'll say something like it was the heat of the moment, this report was false and I love this team. My heart and soul is with UNC football.

James Madison should add this report in their locker room somewhere though. Put the score up, the date and 'Mack Brown wanted to retire.' Don't blame him. You're 73 years old. Just go hang out, watch games, have some beers and enjoy your day. No need to keep on recruiting. What a win for the Dukes.
