Ken Rosenthal And Britt Ghiroli Systematically Dismembered The White Sox Limb By Limb In "The Athletic" This Morning And It Was AWESOME

I want to start by giving a huge shout out to Ken Rosenthal and Britt Ghiroli for this article. It was so, so well put together.

Golf clap:

Giphy Images.

Good shit.

In the midst of ALMOST winning 4 games in a row, it's somewhat quietly been "White Sox trash talk week" in both the local and national media.

First, and locally, we had Rick Morrisey slam them in the Sun Times:

Then we had Jeff Passan chime in with a great - though different - perspective, this time from the players who are living and breathing this embarrassment.  Reading it was really sad. It came off as the baseball version of a journalist visiting a wartorn country's front lines to me:

And then early this morning, Mr. BowTie himself dropped a scud missile on us in The Athletic. IF YOU ARE A WHITE SOX FAN IT IS A MUST READ ARTICLE.

It's kinda crazy too. If we didn't already know a lot of the shit detailed in Ghiroli and Rosenthal's piece, we already HIGHLY suspected all of it as fans. So to us, it's nothing new. It was just a fantastic, A+, Pulitzer Prize worthy confirmation that Jerry Reinsdorf fucking SUCKS at owning a professional baseball team and his cronies underneath him - namely Kenny Williams - completely ruined Rick Hahn's vision and pulled the rug from under him and his team in 2020.

That's not to say that Hahn didn't fuck up too. Everyone did. But Williams' ego paired with Jerry's 1989 model brain lead the White Sox to what is now the worst team in the sports' history.

Sure there were some new revelations - like the Sox chartering the oldest plane in baseball like they're in fucking Major League - but fuck man…it really sucks being a fan of this organization.

The good news? I did a peloton ride this morning so I'm healthy as FUCK right now and fully plan on waiting out Jerry Reinsdorf and his incompetent regime, and on that note, I'd like to hypocritically state that I have tentative plans on being at Sox Park and donating my lazily earned money to said incompetent regime next week when they set the record against the Angels in the last homestand of the season on the South Side.

The SELL THE TEAM! chants are going to be DEAFENING that night. Maybe….I mean probably not, because nobody will be there because Jerry Reinsdorf puts an unpalatable product on the field year over year.
