Raheem Morris Said Drake London's Gun Celebration That Almost Fucked Up the Falcons' Game-Winning Extra Point Was Probably Just a T-Shirt Gun Because He's Such a Good Guy

Lost in the madness of the Falcons' comeback and Eagles' collapse on Monday Night Football was the fact that Drake London turned Younghoe Koo's game-winning extra point into a 48-yard attempt after receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for his celebration following his late touchdown. London threw his arms in the air and acted like he was shooting a machine gun, which drew the flag. It would have been the most Falcons ending ever to lose that game in overtime because of some dumb bullshit like that.

As Raheem Morris explained, though, London was likely just mimicking a t-shirt gun because he's too sweet of a guy to do anything more sinister than that.

I love this spin zone from Coach. I honestly can't even tell if he's being dead serious or playing into a bit, but either way, you can tell Morris is the kind of guy players will love to play for. Now I don't know if I would like this answer if Koo had missed the PAT and Atlanta lost, but luckily we don't have to worry about that. When you win and all's well that ends well, go to bat for your players.

If Morris ever decides he wants to be done with coaching, maybe he can call up Young Thug's lawyer and see if he needs a guy to come up with some more material to help explain his clients.
