Deion Sanders And A Reporter Got Into An Argument Over If It's Going To Rain In Boulder On Saturday
Look there's some things that I get on Deion Sanders case for, and there's some things I laugh at and think wow, he's a really personable guy. This clip, for me, falls in the latter category. Do I think it's unnecessary to get this worked up because a reporter started his question "With the potential for rain on Saturday..."? Yes. Do I think he's got a little cockiness to him after a big win against Colorado State? Sure I do. But at least this one did make me laugh. Deion Sanders is three days from kickoff against Baylor, in which the Buffaloes are only two point favorites at home, and he's got reporters off to the side pulling out their iPhones to see what percent chance they have for rain on Saturday. And it's not just that, he's questioning the original reporters source of information! He uses a meteorologist? Get with the times, my brother! Use your phone!

Oh wow, I see the conundrum here. On one hand, you cannot deny that the symbol chosen to showcase the weather on Saturday is a rain cloud. And that is the main determinant on how I decide upon how the weather will be for a given day. Full sunshine? Perfect day. If the app gives me a cloud with the sun, fine. Just a cloud and I'm certain we won't see a ray of light the entire afternoon. And the rain symbol? Well folks, that means it's going to rain.
But then I see Deion's side of the story too. What does a 35% chance of rain mean? The tired take is that it means there's a 35% chance that it will rain. But the wired take is that there's a 65% chance it WON'T rain! I think I side with Deion on this one? But either way, Deion does it again. I do not give one fuck about Colorado hosting Baylor this weekend. Lions do not concern themselves with sheep. But I will now be checking in on the game to see one thing: if it's raining. And let's be very clear: I followed the Barstool Blog Protocol today that we are nice to Coach Deion Sanders, but God forbid it rain on Saturday and the Buffs have trouble hanging onto the football, this clip may not age very well….
